Every year, the Rendez-vous aux jardins aims to highlight the richness and variety of parks and gardens but also the preservation of a cultivated nature throughout the territory. They are also an opportunity to sensitize visitors to the many actions implemented by the Ministry of Culture, local authorities and private owners to conserve, restore, create gardens and transmit knowledge and know-how.
Organized by the Ministry of Culture, this national event is implemented on the Ile-de-France territory by the DRAC Île-de-France.
In Île-de-France: 400 events in 200 venues including 40 first-time participants and 22 remarkable gardens
This year, more than 200 venues are open to the public and nearly 400 animations are offered in the Ile-de-France region. The great diversity of parks and gardens, whether historical or contemporary, private or public, is represented. The owners and managers were invited to organize specific activities around the music of the garden for a moment of sharing and fun for all: guided thematic tours, visits with gardeners, musical walks, concerts, educational workshops, track games, conferences, etc.
For this 20th edition, we are pleased to welcome the Court of Artists at the Embassy of Argentina (75), the medieval garden of the castle of Blandy (77) or the botanical garden of Sannois (95) among the first participants.
The Rendez-vous aux jardins is also an opportunity to highlight the sites labeled "Remarkable garden". Created in 2004 by the Ministry of Culture, this label is awarded to parks and gardens of cultural, aesthetic, historical or botanical interest. The DRAC intervenes throughout the year to maintain, restore and enhance this exceptional Paris heritage. On this occasion, it publishes an updated edition of the Guide des jardins remarquables en Île-de-France, published by Éditions du Patrimoine and available in bookshops since April 6, which shows the extraordinary diversity of the 42 remarkable gardens labelled in Île-de-France.

Bécon Park
The largest garden in the city, Bécon Park is best known as the former property of Prince Georges Bibesco Stirbey (1828-1925), who instilled in him his original spirit. From this period, the park preserves two testimonies: the Pavilion of India and the Pavilion of Sweden and Norway, from the world exhibition of 1878. Due to its status as a viewpoint on the Seine and its history, this park became a listed site in 1941 and the City of Courbevoie had a green theatre built by the brothers Paul and André Vera.

The park of the Observatory is now entrusted to the association Emmaus Solidarité, which manages an accommodation centre in the buildings of the site. This natural area covers an area of three hectares of largely wooded land, of which one hectare is converted into a pleasure park.
