Conservatories
The DRAC’s support aims to promote the opening of conservatories to all the inhabitants of a territory, to promote the diversity of aesthetics, the renewal of pedagogical practices and the inscription in the current artistic landscape.
OUR MISSIONS
In order to work for the territorial rebalancing of public intervention in cultural matters, a new form of multi-year contractualisation: the CTEA (Contracts territory arts teaching), the objective of which is to structure in a sustainable way the artistic teachings at the scale of a territory, is proposed by the DRAC to several intercommunalities of the great French crown.
The approval of new institutions for the preparation for entry into higher education institutions of artistic creation, have the objective of offering the same chances of success to all candidates, and thus foster the diversity of the profiles of the artists of tomorrow.
The 110 conservatories classified in Île-de-France represent an indispensable lever for the deployment of a local cultural policy, particularly in the area of arts and cultural education. Support for the projects of the ranked conservatories grows each year. The significant resources devoted to artistic teachings have made it possible to support 126 projects in 2021, supported by 57 conservatories in 34 communes or intercommunalities, and to continue the implementation of the "Choral Plan" at the regional level.
