'We select documentaries for their daring look at societies, humanity, the planet. We enrich their approaches with long debates after the screenings; we reveal the mystery of making a film through research workshops; we sharpen our senses through our openness to sound documentary. We want to transcend the boundaries between arts and sciences, emotions and analysis, which makes us attentive to the tremendous creative dynamism of students in the SACRe (Sciences Art Création Recherche) doctoral program.
All this for free, because nothing is more important to us than democratizing access to culture and research", writes Nathalie Luca, Chair of the Ethnographic Film Committee
