The DRAC contributes to the development of choreographic life in the region,
its networking and dissemination at the regional, national and international levels.
She implements the mechanisms of assistance to the choreographic teams (project assistance, structuring assistance, assistance with the convention) and advises the artistic teams.
She participates in the steering bodies and the monitoring committees of the labelled places intervening in the field of dance: national choreographic center, centers of choreographic development.
It accompanies the directors of the contractual structures in the elaboration of the multi annual agreements of objectives around their programme of activities.
In particular, it ensures that these structures take into account issues related to arts and cultural education.
It accompanies the actors of the training, practices in amateur or professional.
It monitors institutions of higher education and specialized arts education with a dance department and regulations in the field of vocational training and diplomas.

It implements aid schemes for musical and vocal ensembles (project assistance, structuring assistance, assistance with agreements) and advises artistic teams.
It participates in the steering bodies and the monitoring committees of the places labeled or conventioned: opera theatre of national interest, national orchestra, scenes of current music.
It accompanies the directors of the contractual structures in the elaboration of the multi annual agreements of objectives from their programme of activities.

Support for artistic creation and dissemination
The DRAC contributes to the development of theatre, circus, puppetry, street arts and public space by facilitating networking and dissemination on a regional, national and international scale.
It participates in the steering bodies and monitoring committees of the labeled places: national stages, national drama centres, national center of street arts and public space, national center of circus arts. It accompanies the directors of the contractual structures in the elaboration of the multi annual agreements of objectives from their programme of activities. In particular, it ensures that these structures take into account issues related to arts and cultural education.
It supports the production and vitality of live performances in the territory through the assistance it provides and through the policy of residence and encouragement to young artists it conducts.
It ensures the follow-up of the initial, specialized, superior courses in these different fields.
The DRAC is therefore an interlocutor for professional associations, networks, sectors and unions. It works in dialogue between independent companies and places of production/dissemination.
Calls for proposals and applications, grants
The call for projects Theatre Research and Associated Arts was designed to support research conducted by creative actors outside of any immediate goal of creating or producing a show. The objective of the Ministry of Culture is to accompany the development of new forms of research led by artists, which allow to create new knowledge on the processes of creation and pedagogical practices, that foster the enrichment of heritage and encourage technological innovations in the service of creation.
Companionship is a device that allows a novice director or author to benefit from an accompaniment process within a company. In this context, the authors are led to write an original work and the directors to present a model.
The aid is allocated, in addition to the decentralized assistance scheme for live entertainment (ADSV), to artistic teams working in the field of creative circus. It supports the production of major circus shows. The application must be filed with the Cultural Affairs Directorate (DRAC) whose head office is responsible. The applications are submitted by professional creative structures looking for an additional grant for the production of their show and which are part of a desire to renew the writing and aesthetics.
National creative support for the street arts is for performing arts projects in all disciplines that take into account public space.
