Created 19 years ago, the Rendez-vous aux Jardins has become an unmissable event of the month of June for lovers of parks and gardens. Organized by the Ministry of Culture, the 18th edition will take place from 04 to 06 June 2021 with the theme «The transmission of knowledge».

On the programme, more than 100 parks and gardens of Hauts-de-France, including more than 25 new, as 
the Jardin de Curé de Ressons-le-Long, the Institut Agricole d'Hazebrouck, the Jardin de l'Obiau in La Couture and the Jardin de la Selle de Saleux, are participating in the event. Everyone, from the smallest to the greatest will have the pleasure of welcoming the public and offering them to participate in many activities, the opportunity to learn more about horticultural and landscape know-how. Playful activities have also been specially organized for school guests more particularly Friday, June 04

Some gardens exceptionally open to the public on this occasion, such as the Eco Parc du Baroeul in Mons-en-Baroeul. The public is invited to discover or rediscover the gardens of the region through a multitude of activities: historical reconstitution at the ancient Forum of Bavay; plant dyeing and graffiti workshop at the Cité des électriciens de Bruay-la-Buissières, but also, guided tour with reading of ancient letters at the Jardins des poilus de Paissy; transfer of gardening practices to the Jardin de la commanderie de Neuilly-sous-Clermont, or educational workshops and photographic exhibition, at the Jardin Herbarium des remparts in Saint-Valéry-sur-Somme.  

Recently labeled gardens Remarkable garden like the Jardin des Géants in Lille and the Parc du Musée du Louvre Lens taking part in this edition. Others have responded again this year. Visitors will find Les Jardins de la Muette and Bosmont parks and gardens in the Aisne. Parc Arboretum du Manoir aux Loups and Mosaïc, the garden of cultures in the North. The garden of Ifs and that of Henri Le Sidaner as well as the Jardin du Brûle for the department of Oise. In the Pas-de-Calais, the liana garden, Le Beau pays but also Sericourt gardens participate in the event. Finally, the estate of the castle of Rambures and Herbarium of the ramparts in Saint-Valery will be found in the Somme.
