For the 20th edition of the «Rendez-vous au jardin», from Friday 2 to Sunday 4 June, nearly 150 parks and gardens will open their doors throughout the Hauts-de-France region. Throughout the weekend, more than 200 animations will be set up for all audiences, neophytes and enlightened amateurs. Zoom on the remarkable gardens.
Established in 2004, the label «Remarkable Garden» distinguishes gardens and parks, both ancient and contemporary, public or private, open to the public and particularly well maintained.
This quality label is awarded by the Ministry of Culture for a renewable period of 5 years to gardens of cultural, aesthetic, historical or botanical interest. A very large majority participates in the scheme to present their activity and the beauty of their landscapes.
Jardin de la Muette in Largny-sur-Automne (Aisne)
The Jardins de La Muette are arranged along the remains of the large terrace of the sixteenth century and around a house that was that of the Longueval, captains of the hunts of the Forest of Villers-Cotterêts. The Rendez-vous aux jardins will be an opportunity to meet the owners and gardeners who work all year round to preserve, restore, create gardens and transmit knowledge and know-how.

Mosaïc, the crop garden in Houplin-Ancoine (North)
Saturday, June 3, Mosaïc, the garden of cultures, invites young and old to a circus show provided by the company Mesdemoiselles, but also at concerts such as Arkam’s Tree Party, which offers a live audiovisual created from sound and visual recordings collected in the garden throughout the spring. On Sunday, June 4, it will also be placed under the sign of music, with an olfactory concert of Chromatic Vocal Group and plays of words and sounds, with clarinet and all kinds of small instruments and sound objects by Ensemble Fa7.

Château de Compiègne (Oise)
The Chateau de Compiègne offers many activities: meeting with gardeners, visiting the park’s must-sees, discovering its secrets, drawing sessions, plantation workshop, etc. The horses will be honored with sulkys for the youngest and walks in reproduction of a team of the nineteenth century.

Reflets de Jardin Park in Penin (Pas-de-Calais)
Walkers, plant lovers or botanical enthusiasts can enjoy guided or free tours in this garden of 5000m2 composed of 2000 different plants from the five continents.
Friday 2, Saturday 3 and Sunday 4 June from 10am to 12pm and from 2pm to 7pm – guided tours at 10am and 3pm.
Digeon Castle Floral Garden in Morvillers-Saint-Saturnin (Somme)
From the rose garden leaning against the farm dating from the second empire, to the English park planted with secular trees and finally the vegetable garden where the geometric lines create a myriad of colorful vegetable compartments, Digeon Castle offers the discovery of its floral park during guided and commented tours.

Rendez-vous aux jardins is a national event, organized by the Ministry of Culture, which aims to highlight the richness and variety of parks and gardens, historical and contemporary and the preservation of a cultivated nature throughout the territory.
It is also an opportunity to sensitize visitors to the many actions implemented by the Ministry of Culture, local authorities and owners, private and public, to conserve, restore, create gardens and transmit knowledge and know-how.
