The fluxus incubator
In order to facilitate the emergence of innovative entrepreneurial projects in the cultural and artistic fields in the Greater East, it was necessary to offer support for business creation: the fluxus incubator, the first innovative incubation device, transversal and regional in France, combining collective training and individual coaching, makes it possible to support for one year and intensively the promoters of artistic and cultural projects in the process of creating a viable and sustainable economic activity.
An incubator is a support and support organization for business creation. Its main mission is to assist the promoters of an innovative project in order to create a company.
Initiated in November 2018 by the Regional Directorate for Cultural Affairs of the Great East (DRAC), the fluxus regional incubator is supported by 13 actors located in 8 cities in the Great East in 2020/2021:

fluxus combines a collective training and individual coaching to support for a year and intensively project leaders in the process of creating a viable and sustainable economic activity in the Great East.
What is fluxus?
fluxus is a sustainable cultural and artistic incubator which accompanies for one year the creation of cultural and artistic activities in the Great East.
fluxus consolidating existing resources in the territory and supporting projects to create cultural and artistic activities in order to make them economically viable.
The medium-term vision is to multiply the number of actors and incubators so that this mechanism can accompany entrepreneurs through a regional network and a local offer. A cross-border opening is envisaged.
Why fluxus ?
The incubator fluxus is freely inspired by Fluxus, a contemporary art movement born in the 1960s that included the public in artistic performance, whose artists wanted to suppress the idea of an art that gives itself to be seen in favor of the idea of an art that is experimented, is lived…
For whom?
- a project in the region;
- a project leader who has graduated from an institution under the supervision of the Ministry of Culture or from an artistic or cultural sector of the Ministry of Higher Education, Research and Innovation or who has 3 years of experience in the cultural and artistic sector, individual or associated with a collective.
How it works fluxus ?
The incubation device fluxusis:
- one promotion per year
- one training day per month
- a personalized support by a reference
- one sponsor for each project
- a selection panel, an intermediate panel and a final panel
- experts from the Grand Est DRAC and the Grand Est Cultural Agency at the disposal of the incubés
- a unifying Summer Camp to prepare the exit from the incubation period
- an accountant dedicated to the project
- a promotional video
- a grant of €500 per project
To apply for the promotion 2021/2022: call for nominations launched in spring 2021.
The training days
They will address the following issues:
- determine their value proposition
- choose its legal status
- understand and validate its market
- write his business plan
- understand the market and target its first customers
- find seed funding
- establish a marketing strategy
- know the good practices of the project presentation
