Series of training workshops on the drafting of the Safeguarding Cultural Property Plan
In 2019, the Centre de recherche et de restauration des Musées de France (C2RMF) and the DRAC Grand Est launched a series of practical workshops to help French museums and heritage places draw up their plans for safeguarding cultural property (PSBC). You will find on this page all the practical documents for the realization of the PSBC.
The Cultural Property Protection Plan (CBSP): a priority for the Ministry of Culture
The purpose of the Cultural Property Protection Plan is to protect collections and funds in the event of a disaster at a cultural institution. It involves setting priorities for action on cultural property in order to provide for on-site displacement or protection operations.
There is no standard model, the PSBC must be adapted to the characteristics of the collections, the collection, the place... and be designed in close cooperation with the emergency services.
The realization of a CBSP is a major issue for a cultural institution and the Ministry of Culture has made it a priority for years. In this context, the DRAC Grand Est regularly organises training activities for museums.
The workshops were led by the C2RMF and various professionals intervened throughout the training: French Blue Shield Committee, insurance broker, specialized carrier, licensed restaurant owner, SDIS, etc.
