Publications and exploitation of archaeological heritage
The Regional Archaeology Service’s mission is to disseminate the results of excavations and scientific studies. Publications, as well as exhibitions, websites or study days, contribute to public awareness and the preservation of archaeological heritage.
Publications of the Regional Archaeological Service
- Regional scientific review
The Regional Archaeological Services (SRA) publishes a Regional Scientific Review (RSB) annually.
It is intended to disseminate in a rapid and synthetic manner the results of archaeological field operations carried out in the region to the relevant and interested bodies: the Archaeology Sub-Directorate, the Regional Archaeological Services of the other regions, archaeologists, elected officials, developers of development projects, researchers and people interested in archaeological research, etc.
All issues can be consulted, in paper format, in the libraries of the Regional Archaeology Service of the 3 DRAC sites (Strasbourg, Châlons-en-Champagne and Metz) and, for some departments, numbers can be downloaded below:
Since 2016

When the plain was not deserted... (Éditions Dominique Guéniot. 2005); the website The Gauls of Acy-Romance...
Support for publications
The Regional Service supports the publication of books on regional archaeology by contributing financially to their publication or through the scientific contribution of members of the service.
Regional Archaeological Days
Each year, the Grand Est Regional Directorate of Cultural Affairs organizes a day dedicated to the presentation of the archaeological news of its territory.
Implemented by the Regional Archaeology Service, in partnership with regional archaeology stakeholders, these meetings allow professional archaeologists, university researchers, to amateur archaeologists and to the public interested in the subject to learn about preventive archaeology operations carried out during work carried out in the region, as well as on research topics or on the history of archaeology in the region.
