Many personalities will be present at the ceremony officiating the award of the label «100% Artistic and Cultural Education» to the representatives of the communities concerned, on Friday, January 20, 2023, at the Palais du Rhin, headquarters of the DRAC Grand Est, in Strasbourg.

Josiane Chevalier, Prefect of the Grand Est Region; Richard Laganier, Rector of the Grand Est Academic Region, Rector of the Nancy-Metz Academy; Olivier Brandouy, Rector of the Reims Academy and Olivier Faron, Rector of the Strasbourg Academy, will chair this session.  It will take place in the presence of Delphine Christophe, Regional Director of Cultural Affairs of the Great East, Anne Bossy, Regional Director of Food and Forest and Forest and Gaëlle Bébin, Secretary General of the High Council for Arts and Cultural Education.

The label, granted for 5 years renewable to 17 communities of the Great East (departmental councils, communities of municipalities and cities), allows to distinguish and to devote a commitment, a partnership approach and a strategy to promote the generalization of arts and cultural education, which is one of the State’s priorities for youth.

The Ministries of National Education and Youth and Culture work together on a regular basis to guarantee 100% of young people access to quality arts and cultural education, especially in the territories furthest from the cultural offer, a real issue of equal opportunities.

The mission of the High Council for Arts and Cultural Education, which launched this label, is to promote the arts in schools, to support the development of the policy of generalization of the “100% Arts and Cultural Education”.

This ceremony will be followed by a half-day of work between elected officials, agents of local authorities and representatives of the DRAC (Regional Directorate of Cultural Affairs), the DAAC (Academic Delegation to Artistic Education and Cultural Action) and the Ministry of Culture (delegation to transmission, territories and cultural democracy).
