On February 10, 2023, the Ministry of Culture organized a tour of the Sèvre factories and the Mobilier National for the Métiers d'art du Grand Est resource persons.
At the invitation of Emma Schneeberger of the Creative Industries Office of the Ministry of Culture and Claire Antony, Chargé de Mission for Crafts in the Regional Directorate of Cultural Affairs of the Great East, the different actors of the Fine Arts sector in the Great East have discovered, in a privileged way, the workshops of two state-owned factories:
- the Manufacture nationale de la porcelaine de Sèvres
- and that of the Domestic furniture
With the objective of federating the network of crafts of the Great East, creating professional and informal exchanges transdisciplinary, this day brought together, besides the organizers of the ministry and the DRAC Grand East:
- representatives of the Institut national des Métiers d'art (Paris);
- the European Institute of Ceramic Arts (Guebwiller);
- the European Centre for Research and Training in Glass Arts (Vannes-le-Châtel);
- the Cité du Faire (Jarville-la-Malgrange);
- the Chamber of Trades and Crafts of the Grand Est (Metz);
- the Federation of Crafts of Alsace (Obernai);
- the Arts and Crafts Centre of the Region (Nancy).
