Michael Maio received the Coup de coeur award from the Ministry of Culture at the inauguration of the European Exhibition of Crafts "Résonance[s] 2022", held in Strasbourg from 11 to 14 November 2022.
A prize presented in the presence of Florent Kieffer and Emma Schneeberger (Directorate General for Artistic Creation of the Ministry of Culture) and Claire Antony (DRAC Grand Est).

A ceramist, Michael Maio lives and works in Bruyères (Vosges). His work links popular and Japanese culture.
His hand-decorated porcelain production uses traditional techniques, for a refined result that navigates between graphic and figurative motifs and tends towards more modernity.

Un Exhibition of national and European dimension, supported by the DRAC
For its tenth edition in Strasbourg, the European Exhibition of Crafts brought together 180 creators.
2022 exhibitors, selected by a jury of experts, represented the know-how and excellence of 12 French regions and 7 European countries. Organized by the Federation of Arts and Crafts of Alsace (FREEMA), it received substantial support from the Regional Directorate of Cultural Affairs of the Great East.
