The Grand Est Heritage Recovery Plan
In the Greater East, the territorialized cultural component of the Economic Recovery Plan for its heritage component amounts to €5.84 million.
In order to recover quickly and sustainably the French economy, following the economic crisis linked to the Covid-19 pandemic, an exceptional recovery plan is being deployed by the Government around three main components: ecology, competitiveness and cohesion.
Recovery plan for heritage in the Great East
Because the restoration and maintenance of heritage have a concrete impact on economic development, the attractiveness and the influence of the territories, the recovery plan for heritage is based on two main axes:
- the implementation of a “cathedral plan” ;
- the exceptional supportbeyond the sustainable means mobilized each year by the State, the restoration of historical monuments belonging to the municipalities and private owners.
The Ministry of Culture has selected for each region, on the proposal of the State Services in the Regions (DRAC), operations mature enough to be engaged quickly in the year 2021. Learn more about the Recovery Pan in culture.
The cultural component Grand Est of the Heritage Recovery Plan amounts to €5.84 million for 2021/2022
- €4.32M for the "Cathedrals Plan": 4 buildings concerned out of the 10 cathedrals in the region;
- €0.89 million for the restoration of historical monuments of communities and private owners.
- €0.63 million for the Epinal Municipal Archives.
This envelope is intended to enable “a revival by and for heritage, combining activity in the territories and attractiveness of France”.
The DRAC Grand Est is mobilized to carry out, this year, the work on the cathedrals and accompany the communities in the assembly of their operations. The first work will begin in the coming weeks.
