Heritage mapping
The DRAC Bretagne puts on line its heritage data relating to the fields of archaeology and historical monuments, and regulatory data from two cartographic tools GeoBretagne and the Atlas of Heritage.
Who are these tools for?
- the various departments of the State and local authorities, heritage professionals and the public wishing to know its cultural environment, both from a regulatory and documentary point of view.
- these atlases can be connected to other geographic portals, whatever the scale (Europe, region, department, etc.) or the theme (coastline, environment, risks, etc.).
The data in these two atlases are updated regularly.
GeoBretagne
GéoBretagne is a platform for exchanges, consultations and research of cartographic data set up by the Prefecture of the Brittany region and the Brittany region. GeoBretagne actors work for data sharing, harmonisation and publication, in accordance with the European Directive INSPIRE (Geographical Information Infrastructure in the European Community).
It manages exclusively the geographical data related to the administrative territory of Brittany, but with many layers of thematic information.
For the DRAC Bretagne you can consult some of the data of the regional archaeological map {html}:
- known archaeological sites in Brittany,
- the network of the main routes of the Protohistory in the Middle Ages in Brittany,
- archaeological operations carried out in Brittany, with a link to the digital version of the excavation report submitted at the end of the operation (see Regional Archaeology Service Digital Library).
part of the data relating to historical monuments and their servitudes managed by the departmental units of architecture and heritage in Brittany (UDAP):
- the buildings protected as historical monuments of the Brittany region,
- the easements of historic monuments in Brittany (500m radius and perimeter of the surroundings)
- remarkable heritage sites (architectural, urban and landscape heritage protection areas, architectural and heritage development areas, protected area: see CASL Act of 7/07/2016)
data related to presumptive archaeological prescription areas. Learn more about the regulation of these areas.
It allows to make many queries by keywords or from the map, to export the results of these searches, to print maps...
