In the territory of Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes, 3,653 cases were examined under preventive archaeology in 2017.
Their investigation led to the prescription of 431 archaeological diagnoses and 66 excavations. 41 technical adjustments (changes in the consistency of the project) were made to reduce the impact of the work on the conservation of archaeological remains.
