Audiovisual cinema
In the field of cinema, most of the missions assigned to the Martinique DAC revolve around image education and the democratization of access to cinema.
Dac Martinique supports the implementation of the measures Eschool and cinema, Film College, High School Students and Film Apprentices and Image smugglers The aim of which is to raise awareness of film culture in schools and young people through various complementary strands. Image smugglers also aims in connection with the city’s policy to facilitate access to the animated image to disadvantaged audiences. The DAC of Martinique intervenes financially at a high and sometimes almost exclusive level in the implementation of these devices.
The DAC-Martinique provides financial support for festivals on the D.F.A.
Support for film and audiovisual production does not fall within the remit of the DRAC; it is the prerogative of the support accounts of the CNC (Centre national de la cinématographie et de l'image animée).
Regional film production is made possible thanks to the three-year film development agreement signed between the CNC, the Regional Council and the DAC. This agreement allows State/Regional co-financing of the regional production aid fund (short films and creative documentaries).
