Rima Abdul Malak, Minister of Culture, in full agreement with Pierre Savreux, President of the EPCC Cirque Jules Verne, Alain Gest, President of the metropolis of Amiens and Xavier Bertrand, President of the Regional Council of Hauts-Alpesof France, gave its approval to the proposal of the board of directors of the circus to appoint Yannick Javaudin to the direction of the Cirque Jules Verne, Pôle National Cirque d'Amiens.
At the age of 50, Yannick Javaudin began his career as a circus artist and actor, then as artistic director of the CirkologioM company in Centre-Val-de-Loire.
He then moved on to administration and production, from 2012 to 2017 within the company Cheptel Aleïkoum then the Zingaro Equestrian Theatre. In 2017, he was appointed director of L'Entracte, a national interest stage - art in the territory of Sablé-sur-Sarthe.
The project presented by Yannick Javaudin for the Pôle National Cirque Jules Verne will focus on enabling the transmission between associated teams and young emerging teams of the regional and national territory. This commitment will be based on equal and eco-responsible programming, open to the greatest number, in which particular attention will be paid to young audiences. It will also be marked by unifying events such as the Night of the Circus and the continuation of the festival La Rue est Amiens – the festival in the city in June.
Yannick Javaudin will continue the development of a diversified offer of shows under marquee or in the public space, in the rural metropolitan territories but also in the neighborhoods of Amiénois thanks to the Confluences nomades.
Yannick Javaudin will take office on December 5, 2022.
