Roselyne Bachelot-Narquin, Minister of Culture, pays tribute to Luc Laventure, former director of the France Ô and Overseas Première branches and founder of the website Outremers360.

Passionate about information and in love with Martinique, Luc Laventure has worked, throughout his career, to a fair representation of the Overseas Territories in the media, especially public.

His ideas, his strength of conviction and his enthusiasm have made him an essential figure in the audiovisual industry of the Overseas Territories for more than forty years. From his first reports for ORTF Martinique, in 1967, until the launch of the nine Overseas 1eraLuc Laventure has demonstrated an exceptional spirit of innovation, through the French Radio Télévision d'Outre-Mer programme management and the transformation of RFO Sat in France Ô in 2005. A man of all audiovisual novelties, he has set up frequent and regular live broadcasts from overseas and orchestrated the creation of the France Outre-The European Union’s Member States and the European Union must be prepared to take action in this area.

Described as a pioneer by many of his colleagues, Luc Laventure had a passion for transmission and was able to pave the way for an entire generation of journalists, who spread the diversity of the French overseas territories throughout France.
