Roselyne Bachelot-Narquin, Minister of Culture, was saddened to learn of the passing of Jean-Michel Boris.

At the age of 21, in 1954, Jean-Michel Boris joined the Olympia as a machinist. From then on, he devoted his entire life to this iconic venue. He was quickly appointed artistic director and, in 1979, succeeded his uncle by alliance Bruno Coquatrix as general director.

He would carry out this mission for more than thirty years, establishing a unique link with the greatest French and international musicians he invited to perform on stage. Through his desire to share his passion for music in all its diversity with the greatest number, Jean-Michel Boris has preserved and transmitted the singular spirit that has made the Olympia a a mythical place appreciated by both artists and audiences.

Roselyne Bachelot-Narquin sends her sincere condolences to her family, to her loved ones, to all those who knew and loved her.
