Roselyne Bachelot-Narquin, Minister of Culture, was saddened to learn of the passing of Françoise Dupas, director of the Petit Faucheux, Scène de musiques actuelles à Tours. Françoise Dupas was a respected and beloved figure in the world of jazz and contemporary music, for her skills, her many professional commitments and also for the great attention she paid to others.

Passionate about music, Françoise Dupas participated very young as a volunteer in the organization of several contemporary music festivals. After university studies, she joined the Fédurock (the federation of halls and rock clubs became the FEDELIMA). Her journey continues in other structures of the sector, until the Grand Mix in Tourcoing, SMAC which she erects as a regional and national reference. In 2009, she took over the management of the Petit Faucheux where she knew how to play, with the teams, a project recognized nationally, open and welcoming for artists and populations.

A tireless advocate for her convictions, invested throughout her career in numerous missions at the service of the public interest and all professionals, Françoise Dupas leaves behind the memory of a courageous, generous and committed woman.

Roselyne Bachelot-Narquin extends her sincere condolences to her family and loved ones.
