The Minister of Culture, Roselyne Bachelot-Narquin, pays tribute to the memory of actor and actor Wladimir Yordanoff who passed away today.

Discovered by the general public in the character of Philippe, in the film «Un air de famille» by Cédric Klapisch in 1996, he mastered this role perfectly, having also played it on stage in 1994, in the play of Agnès Jaoui and Jean-Pierre Bacri. He also shared the screen with them in "Le goût des autres" in 2000.

Wladimir Yordanoff was above all a great theatre actor. Trained at the Conservatoire national supérieur d'art dramatique in the class of Pierre Debauche and Antoine Vitez, it will be directed by the greatest: Patrice Chéreau, Bernard Sobel and Roger Planchon. It was in a work directed by Alain Françon that he won the Molière for best actor in 2016 in «Qui a peur de Virginia Wolf?».

It is a recognizable voice and silhouette that leaves the French art scene.

The Minister of Culture sends her condolences to his family, his loved ones and all those who loved him.
