In accordance with the announcements made by Elisabeth Borne, Minister of Labour, Employment and Insertion and Roselyne Bachelot-Narquin, Minister of Culture, at the National Council of Performing Professions on May 11, 2021, Two decrees were published on August 8 and 11, 2021 to mobilize exceptionally and until December 31, 2021, two grants from the National Fund for Sustainable Employment in the Show (FONPEPS). This aid is intended to support recruitment in the live and recorded entertainment sector.

The support system for the use of the live performing arts platform broadcast in small-gauge theatres is subject to several temporary adaptations until December 31, 2021:

  • He now addresses all venues for which the ticket office does not exceed 600 tickets per performance;

  • It provides for a new scale of assistance for artistic stages of up to 25 artists, for gauges between 300 and 600 spectators.

For employment contracts starting between 1er July 2021 and December 31, 2021:

  • The amount of one-time recruitment assistance is temporarily and exceptionally revalued for fixed-term contracts of more than one month full-time and will be between 466 euros and 666 euros per month, depending on the duration of the contract;
  • The aid is extended to split contracts executed over a period of 12 consecutive months for the same employer and the sum of the terms of the contracts executed gives rise to the same amount of aid as if it were a single fixed-term contract;
  • Aid may also be paid for the hiring of an employee paid by the stamp, with an amount of €21.18 per stamp for 22 stamps over less than four months, to €30.27 per stamp for more than 66 tablets over more than eight months.

Employers will be able to apply for split contract and fee assistance within six months of the start of the last period of employment or the last fee.
