I warmly congratulate Sibyle Veil on his appointment by the Conseil supérieur de l'audiovisuel as President and CEO of Radio France.

Sibyle Veil, 40, has a perfect knowledge of Radio France, having held the position of deputy director in charge of operations and finance since 2015. Master of requests to the Council of State, she was also advisor in charge of labour, housing and solidarity in the office of the President of the Republic between 2008 and 2010. She also led the transformation of Public Assistance – Hôpitaux de Paris (AP-HP). She has demonstrated, in the course of her duties, her ability to drive change within public service organisations.

In the presentation of its strategic project, Sibyle Veil expressed its desire to support the transformation of Radio France, around three priorities: the conquest of young audiences on all media; increased cooperation with other public broadcasting companies; consolidate Radio France’s specific position within the French radio landscape by capitalizing on the high level of trust that listeners place in Radio France’s antennas and by diversifying its offerings.

I have every confidence in Sibyle Veil’s ability to lead, with all of Radio France’s teams, this transformation project, in the current context of global reflection on the evolution of the public service of the audiovisual sector.

I am delighted that, for the first time in 30 years, Radio France, a public company, is being run by a woman.
