Roselyne Bachelot-Narquin, Minister of Culture, welcomed on March 9, 2022 at the Ministry of Culture, in the presence of Elisabeth Moreno, Minister for Gender Equality, Diversity and Equal Opportunities, the association PFDM “For women in the media” and 47 media actors for the signing of the “Gender Equality in Media” charter.

This charter aims to propose pragmatic ideas in order to move quickly towards greater gender parity in the media. These proposals are the result of collaborative work with a large number of public and private companies and institutions linked to the media.

The 47 signatories, representing the diversity of media professions, such as public and private broadcasters, public or private radio stations, platforms, producers, producer and author unions, print media, podcast authors, the web or advertising, have gathered around this common commitment: to achieve parity in their sector.

This initiative is fully in line with the proactive action of the Ministry of Culture to promote Gender equality in culture and communication.
