On the proposal of Franck Riester, Minister of Culture, the President of the Republic reappoints Romane Sarfati as Director General of the public establishment of the Cité de la céramique - Sèvres & Limoges which brings together the Manufacture nationale de Sèvres, the Musée national de la céramique de Sèvres and the Musée national Adrien Dubouché de Limoges. This institution combines heritage conservation and dissemination missions with those of porcelain production and artistic creation.

For 5 years the director and the team of the establishment have developed the international artistic influence of the creations of the Manufacture, inscribed Sèvres in the Greater Paris of culture and created a pole of research and transmission of knowledge anddo on the arts of fire. The challenge for the coming years will be to confirm a bold artistic and cultural policy within and outside the walls and ensure the transmission of the institution’s exceptional heritage and know-how. This will be reflected in the strengthening of the Manufactures Nationales, the Centre de recherche sur les arts du feu and the launch of the Sèvres School. The Cité de la céramique - Sèvres & Limoges will actively participate in the renewal of public policies in favour of crafts and living heritage and their promotion in France and internationally.

Director of the institution since 2014, Romane Sarfati was successively director of the gallery Daniel Templon, video game producer, audiovisual and digital manager at the musée du quai Branly, Executive Assistant to the Mayor of Paris in charge of heritage, Director of Culture of the Essonne department. In 2012, she joined the office of the Minister of Culture and Communication as an advisor for plastic arts, architecture, design and fashion.
