The Assises des Ecoles Nationales Supérieures d'Architecture and the Ecole de Chaillot, organized for the first time, will be held on 14 and 15 October at the Ecole Nationale Supérieure d'Architecture - ENSA de Normandie, on the theme of “intervention sur l'existant”. Organized on the occasion of the National Days of Architecture, they will bring together professionals from the world of architecture, design and construction, gathered to discuss concrete cases presented by actors in the field and the solutions provided by the ENSA.

These Assizes, open to all, will give national visibility to the excellence of ENSA research, anchored in field issues at the service of public policies for sustainable transformation of territories.

Three round tables will discuss the place of heritage and architecture today:

  • Off-centre heritage: cultural value as a project lever in rural areas and medium-sized cities
  • New uses, new project practices: 20th century architecture, massification or appropriation?
  • The environmental challenges of rehabilitation. The existing architecture, new models of decarbonized transition?

In the continuation of the Assises, the Ministry of Culture and the DRAC Normandie propose a conference, on October 14 at 18:30, on the theme: Rebuild together: restore the cathedrals of Paris and Rouen. Scientific Contributions and the Role of the Architect».
