Franck Riester, Minister of Culture, and Agnès Pannier-Runacher, State Secretary to the Minister of Economy and Finance, met on Friday, January 31, professionals of private performance halls to evaluate the impact of the social movement on their activity.

Four organisations representing private actors in the performing arts were present: PRODISS (musical and variety shows), CAMULC (cabarets and music halls), SNES (show entrepreneurs) and SNDTP (private theatres).

The professionals presented the impact of the social movement on cinema attendance, which represented up to 50% fewer tickets sold in the most exposed venues, mainly in Paris. A decrease in bookings is also observed for the coming weeks.

The ministers presented the various support mechanisms that can be mobilized by the most impacted companies: tax and social charges deferrals, even tax relief for the most troubled companies, partial activity, etc.

To complete the process, professionals are supported by the services of the Ministry of Economy and Finance and the Chambers of Commerce.
