As part of the recovery plan and with the support of the Ministry of Culture and the Ministry of Small and Medium Enterprises, the Mobilier National is proposing a vast campaign to restore its furniture and lighting collection from the 1930s to the 1950s.

In 2020, during the first lockdown, the Mobilier national launched a restoration plan to encourage the activity of crafts that, every day, mobilize exceptional know-how and give invaluable value to our intangible heritage. This unprecedented campaign has thus made it possible to restore a dozen pieces of the national collections for which he is responsible.

A year later, the Government, through France Relance, wants to amplify the approach and set a new ambitious target for the restoration campaign carried out by the Mobilier national.

An exceptional envelope of one million euros is being deployed to support, in 2021 and 2022, professional craftsmen and heritage restaurateurs in the full range of their expertise-make; more than two hundred exceptional coins will regain a second youth thanks to them.

Testimony of Art Deco and research in the field of decorative arts during the years 1930-1950, all the selected pieces put together a precise know-how and the talent of excellent trades. The pieces restored as part of this campaign have in common the fact of presenting a heritage interest while being likely to be used for the furniture or decoration of public buildings.

The consultation is now underway and artisans can now apply.
