The health crisis has had unprecedented consequences on all the cultural sectors: cancellation of major events, closing of theatres, shutdown of certain industries, etc. In a study published in June 2020, the Department of Studies, The Ministry of Culture’s Foresight and Statistics (DEPS) estimated the decline in revenue related to the health crisis in the culture and media sectors in 2020 at €22.3 billion.
In this context, the Ministry of Cultureth Entrepreneurship in Culture Forum, October 19-23, 2020. Initially planned in person at the National Dance Centre, the edition will be 100% online, (in a dematerialized way).
Due to the difficulties encountered by professionals in the sector, the event will focus in particular on providing practical and concrete information on the various mechanisms available to companies and cultural structures to relaunch their activity.
Since 2015, the “Entrepreneurship in Culture” Forum has brought together cultural stakeholders around common issues and challenges and has been supporting professionals and students alike in developing their projects. A forum for exchanges and information, a professional and institutional forum, the Forum is a unifying event and one of the highlights of the annual calendar for all cultural sectors. In 2019, the 5th The Forum brought together nearly 2,500 participants and 270 speakers.
To adapt to current health measures, the 6th edition of the Forum “Entreprendre dans la Culture” dematerialises all of its programming:
- Thirty-four webinars will be offered from October 19 to 23, 2020;
- Seventeen panel discussions will be webcast live from the National Dance Centre on October 21, 22 and 23, 2020.
