Roselyne Bachelot-Narquin, Minister of Culture, welcomes the entry of Dominique Blanc in the Société de la Comédie-Française from 1 to 1er January 2021. It becomes the 538th member of the Troupe.
Already a member of the Comédie-Française troupe since 2016, she has performed a dozen plays there.
A subtle, sensitive actress who perfectly embodies vibrant and volunteer women, Dominique Blanc was trained at Cours Florent. She has performed with the greatest French theatre directors, from Patrice Chéreau to Jean-Pierre Vincent, Antoine Vitez and Stéphane Braunschweig, but also internationally, such as Luc Bondy and Peter Sellars. Without forgetting his exceptional career in cinema, with notably Claude Chabrol, Louis Malle, Claude Sautet, James Ivory or Amos Gitaï, but also in opera and television.
Beyond the recognition of the public and professionals that has earned him among others four Caesar, four Molière and two prices of the Critics' union, this choice by his peers is a prestigious and deserved recognition.
This season, Dominique Blanc played the Marquise de Villeparisis in the adaptation of the Guermantes side by Christophe Honoré.
