The Minister of Culture, Roselyne Bachelot-Narquin, and the Minister of Overseas Affairs, Sébastien Lecornu, announce the creation of an aid to the pluralism of ultramarine print media titles. This is the first time that the specificity of the ultramarine titles is taken into account by the implementation of aid that is exclusively dedicated to them.

This long-term aid for pluralism, worth a total of €2 million per year, is aimed at print, print and bi-media companies in the overseas territories.  The aid is intended to support paid publications dealing with current affairs and political and general information (IPG).

This system is part of the “press” business plan requested by the President of the Republic. It aims to facilitate the access of overseas residents to the political and general press, in accordance with the constitutional value objective of media pluralism.

The Government remains fully mobilized to ensure its support to the press sector.
