Roselyne Bachelot-Narquin, Minister of Culture, in agreement with Nicolas Samsoen, Mayor of Massy, Valérie Pécresse, President of the Regional Council of Ile-de-France and François Durovray, President of the Departmental Council of Essonne, gives its approval to the Association ATMAC for the appointment of François Beaudenon to the direction of the scene of current music-SMAC, Centre Culturel Paul Bailliart, according to the proposal of the jury gathered on 1er june 2021.

Holder of a DESS of cultural consultant, François Beaudenon is first in charge of public relations at the Public Establishment of the Grande Halle de la Villette, before joining the Footsbarn Travelling Théâtre as a communications officer. He joined the Centre Culturel Paul Bailliart in 2003 as a communications officer, then as a programming and communication manager in 2005. Since 2011, he has been Deputy Director of Equipment.

His project is part of the history of the Paul Bailliart Cultural Centre, which prioritized actions for young audiences and emerging artists. François Beaudenon wishes to develop the personalized accompaniment of artists in the process of professionalization and open the place to pluridisciplinarity. It proposes to strengthen partnerships with cultural structures (the Massy Opera, the future reserves of the Centre Pompidou, the Azimut, the Massy Conservatory, the Plan and the Rack'am) and long-term territorial projects. It will thus consolidate the major role played by the Paul Bailliart Cultural Centre in its territory and beyond.

François Beaudenon will take up his duties on 1er october 2021. He will succeed Christian Maugein who has directed the Paul Bailliart Cultural Centre since its creation in 1994 and whose work the Minister praises the development of an indispensable place for the emergence of new talents from Paris.
