Created at the initiative of the Ministry of Culture in 1996, the Semaine de la langue française et de la Francophonie celebrates French in all its diversity and richness of expression. With its many colours and nuances, the fifth world language spoken today by more than 300 million speakers on five continents, French constitutes an exceptional linguistic heritage widely shared.
Under the theme «À tous les temps», this new edition of the Semaine de langue française et de la Francophonie offers a reflection on our relationship to time by exploring the different meanings of this word and its expressions.
Comedian and humorist Alex Lutz, also winner of the Grand Prix Raymond Devos de la langue française 2022, will be the sponsor of this 28th edition.
The Semaine de la langue française et de la Francophonie has a rich, multicultural program for word lovers in France and abroad.
Poetic, scientific, playful… this French Language and La Francophonie Week will talk about time in all its forms and “at all times”.
