For her first visit to a public cultural establishment, Françoise Nyssen, Minister of Culture, chose to place this visit under the sign of arts and cultural education, presidential priority. She was also able to meet the artists of the company FC Bergman who play at the Grande Halle de la Villette, their play «Pays de Nod», a success of the Festival d'Avignon 2016.

Françoise Nyssen, Minister of Culture, visited Little Villette, the space «child and youth pole» of La Villette, opened just one year ago. The Minister of Culture spoke with the youth of the civic service of La Villette engaged in essential cultural mediation missions within the institution as well as in all cultural institutions hosting the public. She also spoke with the students of the Lucie Faure College in Paris 20th who participated in a workshop Danse et Rythmes d'Afrique created in connection with the 100% Afriques Festival hosted at the Grande Halle de La Villette.

Françoise Nyssen showed her desire to go on the ground to meet cultural actors and audiences, especially the youngest.

The Minister of Culture visited the exhibition Africa Capitals in the presence of Simon Njami, curator of the exhibition, accompanied by artists whose works are exhibited there. She continued her dialogue on the role of culture with high school students in Montreuil.

Françoise Nyssen met with the heads of the cultural institutions present in La Villette: the public establishment of the Parc de La Villette, the Théâtre Paris-Villette, the Philharmonie de Paris, the Conservatoire national supérieur de musique et de danse de Paris, The Hall of Song and Universcience.
