A constituent general assembly of the association for the development of comics in Angoulême was held today.

She unanimously appointed Bruno Racine as president of the association. Audrey Azoulay, Minister of Culture and Communication, welcomes the choice made by the former president of the Bibliothèque nationale de France, who has always worked in the service of the general interest.

In addition to the ex officio members of public authorities and professional organisations, the association also has representatives of institutions active in the comic book sector, as associate members:

- The Cité internationale de la bande dessinée et de l'image;

- The European School of Image;

- The Magelis Joint Union;

- Angoulême Chamber of Commerce and Industry;

- The National Book Centre.

The members of the new association want a dialogue with all the stakeholders concerned to define a strategic and shared vision in the interest of the festival.
