The representatives of the inter-union of Voix du Nord staff were received at their request by the teams of the Ministry of Culture and Communication as well as the Ministry of Labour, Employment, Vocational Training and Social Dialogue.

Trade union representatives presented the various aspects of the job protection plan announced last week. They expressed their concern about the impact of this plan on employment and the reorganization of the company.

Although the strategic and organizational choices are the responsibility of the company, the ministries have recalled that they would be particularly vigilant about the regularity of the negotiation procedure and the conditions for implementing this plan to safeguard employment.

The three-month period should enable the social partners to reach a balanced agreement.

In a fragile economic context, the Ministry of Culture and Communication reiterated its commitment to pluralism and the quality of information, particularly at the local level.

For its part, the Ministry of Labour, Employment, Vocational Training and Social Dialogue will ensure the quality of the social dialogue within the company and will be extremely vigilant about the accompanying measures proposed.
