Audrey Azoulay, Minister of Culture and Communication, has approved the appointment of Bruno Bouché as director of the Centre chorégraphique national Ballet of the Opéra national du Rhin, located in Mulhouse. This appointment follows the unanimous decision of the jury and in agreement with the representatives of the Syndicat intercommunal Opéra national du Rhin (Strasbourg, Mulhouse, Colmar) and the Grand Est Regional Council. Bruno Bouché is appointed Director from 1er September 2016 and will succeed 1er September 2017 to Ivan Cavallari, director since 1er january 2013.

Bruno Bouché, an artist whose world is turned towards modernity, intends to give the National Choreographic Ballet Centre of the Rhine Opera a European ambition through collaborations open to contemporary aesthetics. It will be attached to develop actions throughout the territory of the new Great East Region.

At the heart of his project, L'Atelier, a space open to other arts, attests to her reflection on dance and her search for innovation in creation. His attention will also be directed to the young audience for whom he will offer large format programs with noted choreographers.

Bruno Bouché joined the Paris Opera School of Dance in 1989, before joining the Paris Opera Ballet Corps as a Quadrille in 1996, Coryphée in 1999 and Sujet in 2002. He has been managing the company since 1999 Impact choreographic and is part of the choreography academy launched last September by Benjamin Millepied at the Paris Opera. He is also often invited to dance, both in Europe and in the United States and Japan, in the groups of the company’s various Stars.
