It is with emotion that I learn of the disappearance of Anne Tronche, who was about to give a lecture on art in the 1960s at the Institut Supérieur des Arts in Toulouse.

A contemporary art critic, she devoted her life to art and artists, to whom she remained faithful. Respected by all, Anne Tronche was the authority. She is the author of many books - of which the Current Art in France from cinematic to hyperrealism published in 1973 - and articles on contemporary art as well as interviews for monographic films.

Inspector general of artistic creation, she has contributed to the development and implementation of public policies in the field of the visual arts.  Making transmission a major issue, she participated in many school juries thus promoting the emergence of many artists.

I extend my sincere condolences to his family and loved ones.
