Fleur Pellerin, Minister of Culture and Communication, Josette Manin, President of the General Council of Martinique, Raphaël Séminor, President of the Public Institution of Cultural Cooperation of Martinique Tropiques Atrium, and Hassane Kassi Kouyaté, its director and in the presence of the Minister for Overseas Affairs, George Pau-Langevin, signed the contract of objectives and means drawn up by the latter for the period 2015-2017. The Minister confirmed the restoration of the national stage label at Tropiques Atrium.

 

Fleur Pellerin would like to highlight the remarkable work done by Hassane Kassi Kouyaté since taking office in January 2015, which allows him to present ambitious objectives in the continuation of his initial project.

 

It also welcomes the resolute commitment of the General Council of Martinique, alongside the State, to make the National Tropics Atrium a major and structuring institution of the artistic and cultural life of Martinique, serving artists and the population.

 

These objectives are the result of fruitful consultation between the State, the General Council and the management of the establishment. They reaffirm the desire to offer multidisciplinary programming both inside and outside the walls, the support and support of established and emerging artists, the development of cultural action aimed at all populations, especially young people, through the formation of a team of mediators. Finally, Hassane Kassi Kouyaté’s project places the action of Tropiques Atrium at the heart of the cultural space of the Caribbean.
