This major agreement will encourage investment by the public service in creation, by offering more flexibility to France Télévisions - which will notably benefit from a strengthening of its production capacities -, and strong guarantees for independent producers, whose importance in the diversity of creation is recognized.

It is part of the action initiated by the minister for several months in favour of audiovisual creation. The strengthening of the tax credit for audiovisual fiction voted by parliamentarians on 13 November is a major step forward for the sector.

This “new alliance” that strengthens the partnership between producers and broadcasters will allow for better risk sharing, clarify production models and support creative diversity.

The Minister hopes that this important step can be completed very quickly by an agreement on transparency, and that discussions will begin very quickly between private broadcasters and producers on similar principles.

Fleur Pellerin congratulates the signatories who have shown responsibility and ambition for French audiovisual creation.
