Serge Moscovici has just disappeared at the age of eighty-nine.

A leading figure in French social psychology, he founded and for thirty years directed the European Laboratory of Social Psychology at the House of Human Sciences. He was also an important theoretician of political ecology, an enthusiastic thinker of the relationship between man and nature, who marked the intellectual life of our country.

It was in Romania, his native country, that he discovered his love of French culture and language and founded «Da», an art and literature magazine that was quickly censored. As a refugee in France, this lover of peace has never ceased to seek, through all his work, to “reignite the world”.

My heartfelt thoughts are with his family and loved ones.
