Françoise Bertin passed away on October 26. She was 89 years old.
She was still playing in September, alongside Michel Sardou in Eric-Emmanuel Schmitt’s last play, «Si on recommenceent»... In more than sixty years of career, Françoise Bertin has established herself both in the roles of the great repertoire and in the defense of today’s authors. As brilliant in the theatre of Shakespeare, Molière or Marivaux as in the universe of Barillet and Gredy. Bright in cinema, as in the films of Arnaud Desplechin or Alain Resnais. Television had also allowed her to reach other audiences, who will not forget the one that had become one of the most familiar and charming figures of «Plus belle la vie».
Françoise Bertin was one of those great supporting roles indispensable to the success of the most beautiful projects.
