The Apollinaire Prize was awarded to the Bulgarian poet Aksinia Mihaylova for "Heaven to Lose" published by Gallimard.

At the heart of the literary awards season that puts the novel in the spotlight, the Prix Apollinaire opens a poetic parenthesis to pay tribute to the talent of a great poet as well as to the originality and modernity of her work. With "Ciel à Perdre", Aksinia Mihaylova resonates the French language with force and accuracy. It is a great pride to see a foreign author seize our language with such success.

I offer my sincere congratulations to Aksinia Mihaylova and her publisher.
