Aurélie Filippetti, Minister of Culture and Communication, warmly congratulates the very talented Alain Resnais and the entire team of the film «Love, drink and sing» for winning the prestigious Alfred Bauer prize, created in memory of the founder of the festival, and which each year rewards a film that opens new perspectives.
What a great reward for this great 91-year-old director who once again offers us a delightful film, mixing with grace theatre, cinema and comics, and demonstrating his outstanding talent as an actor director.
The Minister also sends her warmest congratulations to the two French short films rewarded: «Tant qu'il nous reste des fusils à pompe» by Caroline Poggi and Jonathan Vinel who received the Golden Bear in this category and «Laborat» Guillaume Cailleau, Silver Bear, Special Jury Prize. The Minister reaffirms her support for this genre of cinema which demonstrates a tremendous artistic creativity.

Aurélie Filippetti would also like to highlight the vitality of Asian cinema, which was particularly highlighted at this 64th edition of the Berlin International Film Festival, and especially congratulates the Chinese director Diao Yinan who was awarded the Golden Bear for best film for «Black Coal, Thin Ice».
