Claude Lévy has just left us at the age of 73. Originally from Moselle, Claude Lévy began his career as a journalist in many regional dailies before joining the Bordeaux office of Agence France-Presse in 1983.

He then joined the AFP office in Paris to work in social services
then to the political service. He was accredited successively at the Matignon Hotel, in
the National Assembly and the Senate, which he describes in his book
"The Republic Bubble" in 2006.

Engaged, Claude Lévy was vice-president of the Association des journalistes
parliamentarians in 2002-2003, but also activist since he joined the PSU then
the Socialist Party before becoming advisor of the 14th district of
Paris until 2008.

Claude Lévy approached his profession as a journalist and writer with concern
always verified and detailed information.

With his departure, the French journalistic and political circles are in mourning.
