The French Institute, operator of the French Pavilion on behalf of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Development and the Ministry of Culture and Communication, is launching a call for proposals for the French Pavilion Commissariat of the 16e  Venice International Architecture Biennial.

The call for projects is open to architects, or to a multidisciplinary team combining at least one senior architect, leader, and a young architect under 40 years old. Applicants are invited to include their project in the guidelines defined by the General Commission of this 16e International Architecture Biennial, entrusted this year to the founders of Grafton Architects, Yvonne Farrell and Shelley McNamara. The Biennale will take place from 26 May to 25 November 2018 (professional days: 24 and 25 May 2018).

The application procedures are available on the French Institute website: http://ifprog.institutfrancais.com/fr/login

Due to the late publication of the theme of the Venice International Architecture Biennial 2018, the call for proposals for the French Pavilion will be extended until 20 August 2017.
