The actor Georges Descrières left us. He was 83 years old.

Winner of two first prizes at the Conservatoire de Bordeaux and two second prizes at the Conservatoire d'art dramatique de Paris, he joined the Comédie Française as a member in 1958 and then dean in 1979.

In parallel with his theatre career, for which he has played leading roles in the classical repertoire, he has had a career in film and television. He made his film debut in 1954 in the adaptation of the book "Le Rouge et le Noir", brought to the screen by Claude Autant-Lara. This is his interpretation of the role of Arsène Lupin, gentleman burglar, broadcast on the 2th between 1971 and 1974, which made it popular and famous throughout France. Today, France hums the song of Jacques Dutronc, in tribute to this actor of great talent.
