The Ministry of Culture and Communication, announces the renewal of Claude Brumachon and Benjamin Lamarche as artistic director of the Centre chorégraphique national de Nantes
Fifteen artists responded to the call for applications organized for the
renewal of the artistic direction of the National Choreographic Centre
nantes.
Following the hearing of the candidates selected on 9 May, in agreement with the city
of Nantes, the Pays de la Loire region and the Loire-
Atlantic, the Department of Culture and Communication, announces the
renewal of Claude Brumachon and Benjamin Lamarche to the management
of the Centre Chorégraphique National de Nantes.
After debuting at the Ballets de la cité de Rouen, the dancer-choreographer
Claude Brumachon built step by step a unique repertoire, to which he associated
from 1980 the accomplice of all his creations, Benjamin Lamarche.
Claude Brumachon signs his pieces of a physical commitment to the
frontier of exhaustion, where the fragments of life follow the collisions.
This directory is constantly re-invested and disseminated by the Centre
National choreography of Nantes around its permanent dancers.
Presented worldwide, it is also well transmitted to ballets
prestigious only to amateur groups, in France and internationally.
Founder of the Centre chorégraphique national de Nantes in 1992, Claude
Brumachon designed with Benjamin Lamarche a project in full continuity
for the three years that will close their management of this establishment, end 2015:
