What is international mobility assistance?
International mobility is now an unavoidable axis of higher initial education and the Ministry of Culture provides support for the financing of international mobility grants (AMI) for students of theHigher education culture (ESC).
Objectives of the approach
This approach allows institutions of higher education culture to express their needs for international mobility grants for the academic year 2024-2025.

Only establishments of Higher Education Culture are eligible for this grant.
The decree of 23 December 2022 laying down the conditions and procedure for awarding scholarships and grants to students at higher education institutions under the Ministry for Culture, provides that:
- The aid is reserved for mobility during the student’s training for a period of 2 to 9 months;
- The amount of the aid corresponds to 400 euros/ month/ student (e) for students beneficiaries of a stock exchange on social criteria (BCS) or a specific aid annual crop allowance (ASAA-C) ;
- Within the limit of the remaining credits, an aid of an amount of 152 euros/ month/ student (e) can be allocated to students without a scholarship.
This assistance is reserved for students from higher education institutions under the supervision of the Ministry of Culture and must be the subject of a grant application by the institutions.
The duration of the student’s assisted stay abroad may not be less than two months or more than nine consecutive months. During all of their graduate studies, the student will not be able to benefit from the international mobility assistance scheme beyond a cumulative duration of more than nine months.
Mobility outside the framework of training or less than 2 months are not eligible for this aid.
International mobility grants are used to contribute to students' travel and living expenses, incurred during periods of study, in Europe or abroad, included in the curriculum.
Procedure
The overall budget is €800,000, divided between the beneficiary institutions.
The payment of the grant is made in one go after allocation of the budget envelope (July 2024).
Within the limit of the overall envelope fixed as an indication of €800,000, the appropriations will be allocated to schools after their applications are examined in accordance with the following procedures:
- Priority is given to grant students;
- the aid is intended for mobility during the student’s training for a period of two to nine months. During all of their graduate studies, the student will not be able to benefit from the international mobility assistance scheme beyond a cumulative duration of more than nine months;
- the amount of support for scholarship students is 400 euros/ month/ student;
- within the limit of the remaining credits, mobility assistance may be granted to non-Boarding students. This aid amounts to €152 per month;
- Credits granted in 2023 for international mobility assistance that could not have been consumed will be deducted from the 2024 needs;
- applications must relate to the estimated needs for the academic year 2024-2025.
