What is the accreditation of a centre to provide pedagogical training for choreographic artists?

In the field of dance, the Ministry of Culture develops the regulations for initial and higher education, supports the creation and develops the dissemination networks. It also supports the structuring of professions and employment and contributes to the development of arts and cultural education and amateur practices.

The training of choreographic artists shall be organized in accordance with the procedures laid down in Annex V of the order of 23 July 2019 on the various pathways to the profession of dance teacher under the Article L. 362-1 of the Education Code. You can download the official bulletin containing these annexes at this place. This section applies to classical, contemporary and jazz dances.

The educational training provided for the artists mentioned in paragraph 6 of this same article shall be provided by an authorised training centre. This centre is appointed by the Director-General of Artistic Creation, after consulting the Artistic Creation Inspectorate. The designation applies to a training session (Article 19 of the aforementioned decree).
